Sharing the same watershed as the World Famous Copper River (known in gourmet seafood circles for its uniquely rich King, Sockeye and Coho salmon), the Eyak river drainage mixes with the ocean in the intertidal zone where the salmon pick up on the scent leading them on the final leg of their journey. Commercial fishing vessels often use the Eyak to access the Copper River fishing grounds.

During this time of annual migration, sport fishing opportunities abound. We offer top notch boat rentals, a convenient place to clean and package your catch (or if you get swamped, arrangements can be made for custom processing), and your own freezer to store your catch until your departure. If you can't wait to taste those fish, we also offer an area for cookouts and campfires.
